Our Roots
Muni Tribe was founded in 2014 from a passion for natural, spiritual and sustainable products.
With love for the Earth and all its inhabitants, we started creating shamanic drums and power objects. Over time, more and more beautiful treasures were added, such as natural clothing and handmade jewelry.
We make and sell products that can enrich people and their living environment with a special form of energy, products that are charged with a pure intention and that support and stimulate the connection with ourselves and our natural environment.

Beautiful India
Our great love for traveling eventually brought us to India, where we met some very special people and came into contact with a number of family businesses that make clothing under fair trade conditions and which inspired us immensely.
Since then, we have enjoyed working with them and travel to India every winter to create a new special natural clothing collection.
Every year it is a magical adventurous quest to find the most beautiful products for our store in the Netherlands through all kinds of special places that we encounter along our way.

Integrity & Fairness
We believe in knowing where things really come from, what their origins are, what the stories are behind the people who make them and finding the Heart of the products we truly support.
We believe that it is possible to make a difference by doing things differently. We are guided by human inspiration and equality.
In this way, every Muni product carries this energy further into the world and together we create a new reality.
A reality of Love, Intergity & Equality

Fair Trade
Our clothing is made in India by small family businesses.
We spend about two months each winter there to create a new collection and work with the people who make our clothing every day. The conditions and atmosphere in our workshops are excellent and everyone who works there earns a fair wage.
By working together with the people who make our clothing, we guarantee an ethically responsible and fair trade production process.
In addition, it is especially fun and very satisfying to create the most beautiful Muni products in a personal and human way.

Ethically Sourced
We work without intermediaries, directly at the source, so all income goes directly to the people who make our products.
We know the people, faces and stories behind our products. We have personal relationships with the people who make our products and are involved in the entire process.
A good example of this are the sari bags in which you receive your Muni order. These are made for us at home by an Indian woman with a lot of love. All income goes directly to her, in this way even our bags are fair trade & handmade with Love!

Natural Clothing
The fabrics we use are unbleached and not treated with harmful chemicals. We call this raw or natural cotton.
We use the most beautiful and authentic types of cotton for our collections. You can often still see the fibers in the fabric and sometimes even a leaf comes along.
Natural fabrics in their Purest form!
Our blockprints are made by hand. Block printing is an age-old technique in which patterns are printed on fabrics with wooden blocks. It is a process that is done very precisely and produces the most beautiful prints that you see on our clothing.

Responsibly Dyed
Our clothing is colored with eco-friendly dyes.
We use dyes that are kind to both people and the planet: this means that those who work with them are not exposed to harmful substances, and when you wear our clothing, no harmful substances are released onto your skin.
The water used in the dyeing process, which eventually returns to the environment, is free from deadly chemicals, ensuring that nature does not suffer from the creation of Muni clothing!

Giving back to the Community
We believe it is important to support the local community in the region where our clothes are made. We donate with love to two foundations :

Fior Di Loto
Helping Indian girls for a better India
The Fior Di Loto Foundation is committed to improving the position of women in India. They have a school where 600 girls receive free education, and there is a program where sewing machines are given to women every year so they can earn an income at home by making clothes. They receive sewing lessons at the school and can then get started at home. In addition, the foundation distributes food parcels every month to the poorest people and families in the area.
Tolfa
Transforming the Lives of Animals and People in the region of Rajasthan
The Tolfa Foundation helps animals in need, has a program to sterilize & vaccinate stray dogs and cats, is involved in education about animal welfare and they are the only animal ambulance available in the region. Visit Tolfa's Website
